Welcome to the Fags n Matches page. We hope that some of you lovely people have heard of the band from the old Edinburgh dance hall days. Plus we hope some of you remember the old band from the many venues they played in Edinburgh through the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's. The band was originally started in the 60's & had a very large following when they became the resident band in the Maybury dance hall, as it was known then. The band went on the win Hughie Green's "Search for a Star" (the Xfactor of it's day) in 1972.
